“Teach Your Son to Respect Women” — one of the most “Shared” and “Liked” photos on FB, who is behind it?

One of the most "shared" and "liked" photods

THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — In the 2 years I’ve been on Facebook the “Teach Your Son to Respect Women”  photo seems to have the most “likes” and “shares”  of any FB posted photo every time I view it in the news feed.

It’s a photo of a billboard that says:

Teach your son to respect women.

He’s waiting.

He’s watching.

He’ll listen.

On the other half of the billboard there is a photo of a young male that says:

“Awaiting instructions.”

One heck of a successful job at getting the message out I’d say.

I did a bit of researching, trying to find out where this billboard PR originated from. Backtracking to earlier photos, I found a website — endabuse.org. Clicking on it redirects to the website Futures Without Violence — formerly called The Family Violence Protection Fund.

From their website:

We advance the health, stability, education, and security of women and girls, men and boys worldwide. In 1994, Futures Without Violence was instrumental in developing the landmark Violence Against Women Act passed by the US Congress.

via Futures Without Violence: About Us.

While I wasn’t able to specifically find out further info on this billboard promotion from the website or more about the specific people behind it, I figure they do deserve a round of applause from us.

Anybody that can shed more light on this, please chime in!
