THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — “I’m excited about our prospects as a nation” says Romney on a presidential transition website that included details on how to apply for a position with the new administration. This would have been a truly heart-stopping moment for many of us had we stumbled upon it during the time it was live.

Breathing normally now knowing that it was uploaded by mistake, one can’t help feel a bit of unease of how close it came to being reality. Sort of like peering into a future that might have been had not we came to our senses at the last moment.

For the record though, having a website prepared and ready to go would have been prudent, although making it live, even for just a bit, was a major blunder.

Transgender Americans win big with Obama’s victory

THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — The Supreme Court will get perhaps 2 more trans-friendly justices appointed. Trans-friendly policies and administrative rules won’t be rescinded in the name of “Cutting Red Tape.” Transgender civil rights and other legal gains won’t be challenged in court on order from the Executive Branch. These are just a few of the things the re-election of President Barack Obama has ensured that being transgender in American will not result in a negative impact for you come January 2013.

In other words, we get to continue living in the 21st century. And for that, my friends, I thank you for your support.

Two weeks until election day 2012 — two things trans people need to know

Mitt Romney isn’t going to be playing Battleship with President Obama again anytime soon

THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — For many of you, the time to vote is now. The ballot came in the mail and it is sitting on your kitchen table.

Set aside for a moment the promises, the debates, questions about trust, and consider this: You are a trans person — only two things really matter when choosing a presidential candidate.

1) When a bill crosses the president’s desk for his signature, will he sign into law legislation that helps brings trans people equal parity with the rest of the citizens of the United States? Or will it be the signature of legislation placing hurdles in the way?

Likewise, will your president use his veto power to prevent legislation detrimental for trans people from becoming law?

2) Long after your president has completed his term, the Supreme Court justices he has appointed will remain on the bench for decades to come.  The Supreme Court is the final arbitrator of laws passed in the United States. Will the justices your president appoints ensure equal parity for trans people?

The current members of the Supreme Court recent ruled that ‘corporations are people.’ Yet, here we are, trans people in America, still second-class citizens. Clearly, Supreme Court appointees matter! Legislation enacted in the next couple of decades favoring transgender people will most certainly be challenged in court — with many of these cases ending up in the hands of justices appointed by the president we elect just two weeks from now.

If you’re a trans person, the choice isn’t a difficult one to make.

The term “transgender” caused Gov. Mitt Romney to kill Massachusetts anti-bullying guide

THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — Are you transgender and are still thinking about voting for Gov. Mitt Romney this November? Let me help you here a bit: Mitt Romney would rather kill a state-sponsored antibullying guide than have the word “transgender” (and “bisexual”) appear in it.

While the Romney administration claimed at the time the guide needed ‘further review’ when they delayed it however, new information from an email recently obtained by the Boston Globe indicates the motive for killing the guide was partisan — not at all what Romney’s people led us to believe.

From the email: “Because this is using the terms ‘bisexual’ and ‘transgendered,’ DPH’s name may not be used in this publication,’’ wrote the official, Alda Rego-Weathers, then the deputy commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

In the email Rego-Weathers stated she had been ‘consulting with Romney’s office on the issue.’ More from the Boston Globe:

Stifling the guide’s publication was among steps that Romney and his aides took during his last year in office to distance the Republican governor from state programs designed to specifically support gays, lesbians, and bisexual and transgender people. . . .”

This document is particularly troublesome because it singles out transgender (and bisexual) individuals — are we suppose to take this to mean we are “worse” than being lesbian or gay in Romney’s mind?

Please consider your place in Romney’s world when you vote this November.

After Democrat Gov. Deval Patrick took office in 2008, a 120-page “Guide to Bullying Prevention’’ was released state-wide and yes, transgender is included.

GOP’s War on Women – Hillary Clinton is the inevitable choice in 2016.

THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — She says she’s done in 2012. She’s tired. Being Secretary of State in the best of times is physically and mentally draining, and the last 4 years has been anything but the best of times. However, she juggled crises better than most of her peers holding the position and has endured the President’s entire term, all the while impressing everyone, including her detractors. A nice comfy retirement on the lecture circuit is what awaits people of achieving these accomplishments in normal times.

But we are in anything but normal times. We’re at a historical turning point of Biblical proportions. Around the women are facing setbacks never foreseen in modern times, and this is never more so than right here at home in the United States. Hillary Clinton is the one person with the means and influence to upend the Republican War on Women.

If Hillary were on the 2012 ballot, she’d have an easier time than Obama winning back the White House. A Obama-Clinton 2012 ticket would be the ticket, but that isn’t going to happen. Besides, she wants to retire, remember?

So I’m asking that Hillary reconsider her retirement plans and take on something of historical significance. In the end maybe she’ll be able to leave behind a Clinton legacy that her husband hoped to do, but squandered away.

Alright! Women are now cleared to fly small planes!

THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — Breaking news: we’ve approval from Rick Santorum for women to fly small airplanes! . . . Seriously Mr. Santorum, do you really have such a low opinion of women and their intelligence that you can easily utter such nonsense as if you’re doing women a huge favor?

Yes, I know, taking on Santorum is like shooting fish in a barrel but I’m going to give him history lesson anyway.

In 1984, Captain Beverly Burns becomes the first woman to captain a Boeing 747 jumbo jet. Meanwhile, Santorum was attending law school and upon graduation, his biggest accomplishment as a lawyer was the successful lobbying to permit the use of steroids in the World Wrestling Federation!

In 1995, Colonel Eileen Collins becomes the first female pilot of NASA’s Space Shuttle and in 1999, the first female commander. Meanwhile, Santorum was on his way to juxtaposing same-sex marriage with the notion of marriage based on pedophilia or bestiality. This of course, caused an national outrage and the cause for his google connection to “frothy”!

That concludes today’s lesson. There will be a quiz on this next week.

THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — In the Nobody Is Surprised About This Department, Mitt Romney says because Planned Parenthood is pro-choice, he supported Komen’s decision to cut Planned Parenthood.

However, I’m wondering why would Romney pull the abortion card and butt himself into the Komen discussion while it was still evolving? Komen initially said it wasn’t about abortion and here’s Romney showing everyone his “A” cards — how could this have helped Komen then? Now that Komen is destroyed, here’s Romney and his support for a decision that lead to the destruction of an organization that helped hundreds of thousands of women with cancer.

Romney isn’t presidential material. He is good, however, at destruction. Vote accordingly.

Romney supports an anti-trans organization who says trans are sexual predators

THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — Yep, Mitt Romney’s tax returns show he supports the actions of a trans-hate group that use fear mongering to discourage passage of a Mass. transgender rights bill. [An Act Relative to Transgender Equal Rights]

Tactics include, yep again, focus on the “danger” of having trans people in public bathrooms. Indeed, the Massachusetts Family Institute unleashed a trans-hate “Who’s going to be waiting for your wife and daughter?” media campaign in an attempt to get the bill defeated.

From their website: “We are opposed to the “Bathroom Bill” because of the chilling effects that it will have on the privacy, safety and modesty of all residents, especially children and women.”

To sum this up in one sentence: they are implying that transgender people are sexual predators. And GOP presidential contender Mitt Romney gave them his blessing.

Vote accordingly.

Note: This bill was signed into law in Jan. 2012.

Rick Santorum: a man without a brain – researchers baffled.

Convicts or gay parents . . . decisions, decisions . . .

THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — The headline read: “[GOP presidential contender Rick] Santorum Says Gay Parents Worse Than Convicts”. Hmm . . . is that so? I thought I’d dig up a couple of these convicts and you can decide for yourselves if Rick is on the ball here.

These two gentlemen below are currently convicts still in prison and according to Rick Santorum, both of these fellows would be better parents than a lesbian or gay couple.

Ward Weaver: FBI agents found the remains of Ashley Pond 12,  and Miranda Gaddis 13 at the home of Ward Weaver III, the father of one of their school friends. Ashley’s body was found in a hole in the yard under a concrete slab that Weaver claimed was for a hot tub. Miranda Gaddis’ remains were found in a bag in a storage shed. – About.com

Nathaniel Bar-Jonah: Nathaniel Bar-Jonah is a convicted child predator that is in prison after repeatedly molesting, torturing, and attempting to murder children. He was also suspected of murdering a child then disposing of the body through cannibalistic ways that involved his unsuspecting neighbors.– About.com

THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — It’s official, campaign ads are hitting below the belt — using minor kids of candidates to cast slime on their parent’s credibility. Supporters of presidential candidate Ron Paul has taken the lead in using his opponents children for political gain.

“An online ad authored by “NHLiberty4Paul” shows footage of [GOP presidential candidate Jon] Huntsman with daughters Gracie, who was adopted from China, and Asha, adopted from India, when they were infants.”American values. Or Chinese,” the ad asks to a soundtrack of Chinese music. It calls Huntsman “the Manchurian Candidate” and ends with an image of Huntsman dressed as China’s former communist leader Mao Zedong, and the words “Vote Ron Paul.” – Reuters

Ron Paul disavowed the ad, however insisted he has no control of his people. Paul: “I couldn’t even hear it, haven’t looked at it, but people do that, and they do it in all campaigns.”

This slap on the hand is not good enough Mr. Paul. You need to publicly name the people behind the ad and insist that no further attack ads are done on your behalf by anyone without your approval for the rest of this campaign.

THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — President Obama sternly cut down his GOP presidential opponents by responding to their charges of appeasement with this: “Ask Osama bin Laden and the 22-out-of-30 top al Qaeda leaders who’ve been taken off the field whether I engage in appeasement. Or whoever is left out there, ask them about that.”

Obama’s anger followed Wednesday’s (Dec. 7, 2011) speeches by GOP contenders at the Republican Jewish Coalition event:

From The Huffington Post: “In speech after speech, five of the six invited GOP candidates invoked the specter of “appeasement,”

Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum accused the Obama administration of the kind of “appeasement” of Iran that allowed Hitler to invade neighboring countries with impunity.

Michele Bachmann said, in reference to Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, that “again a madman is speaking, and it seems the world is again not listening.”

Mitt Romney said, “Internationally, President Obama has adopted an appeasement strategy. Appeasement betrays a lack of faith in America, in American strength and in America’s future.”

And Newt Gingrich, currently leading in the polls, used his time to rip into the Obama State Department, accusing it of “appeasement.”"

Only Jon Huntsman refrained from accusing Obama of appeasement.

Q: Seriously — is EPA one you are talking about?

NH staff: Bachmann’s national team rude, unprofessional, dishonest and cruel.

THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — I keep tabs on the Michele Bachmann presidential campaign solely because they are an insult to rational thinking people. Know thy enemy the saying goes, and this one, I now know quite well. Now in a spiral dive, nothing short divine intervention can save Bachmann’s presidential hopes.

Five New Hampshire staffers for the Bachmann campaign quit in frustration last week. From the Associated Press:  ” . . . they could not continue working for her [Bachmann] because her national campaign team had been “rude, unprofessional, dishonest, and at times cruel” to them and “abrasive, discourteous, and dismissive” of the state’s voters. These are our neighbors and our friends, and some within the national team treated them more as a nuisance than as potential supporters . . .”

Don’t feel sorry for Michele Bachmann — she’s ill equipped to be president and was weeded out. In fact, it appears her knack for making stuff up hastened her demise. Good riddance.
